Thought that I’d add in one more – microNOC – which designed around end users not needing to know the first thing about web technology, just that they want to know if their website or any other number of services go down. Both Free and Cheap website monitoring service plans available.

Another good one to add to the list would be http://www.ezwebsitemonitoring.com/ – does uptime and response time checks every 5 mins and also weekly checks of keywords and SEO factors like inbound links, etc. Check it out if you get time.

I’m using this service to monitor my website’s position – http://monitor.mazecore.com . They provide rank and uptime monitoring with alerts, but position monitoring on free account is enough for me. I recommend this service with free tariff for your website.
