Apple has launched a new operating system for its Mac personal computers. Called OS X Mountain Lion, it is fully integrated with social networking (Facebook and Twitter) features to iMac and Macbooks.

OS X Mountain Lion brings features from other mobile Apple devices( iPhone, iPad, and iPod) to the Mac. Mountain Lion also brings the iMessage platform, iCloud, Game Center and Notifications to iMacs and Macbooks.

How to upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion ?

OS X Mountain Lion is compatible with most iMacs and Macbooks manufactured after 2007- 2008. Just click the Mac App Store icon on your Mac. Follow the steps to begin your upgrade.

  • If you have bought a new Mac without OS X Mountain Lion, you can upgrade it for free from the Mac App Store.
  • It is available for download from the Mac App store at $19.99.
  • OS X Mountain Lion is compatible with most iMacs and Macbooks manufactured after 2007-08.
