This February 12th is a day for celebration. Why? Because, on this day in 1809, Charles Darwin was born. What difference did he make?
Darwin made a huge difference to our understanding of who we are and where we come from by establishing that there’s no external design to the evolution of life, just infinite possibilites. A tribute on the bicentenary of his birth.
His work was an enormous advancement to the development of science, especially in the last 150 years since the publication of his book, On the Origin of Species.
Darwin’s theory explained the mechanism for evolution and he also provided a large amount of evidence and argument to back it up in two books (Origin of the Species and The Descent of Man).
