Remarkably resilient firehouse Centennial Bulb—a four-watt, curlicue carbon-filament lightbulb has been burning for 24 hours a day, seven days a week for more than a century — according to The Los Angeles Times .

The bulb uses four watts of power, and its carbon filament is protected by an airtight seal.
