Microsoft has released Windows 7 operating system to the public for beta testing. Windows 7 includes a number of new features, such as Windows Touch and Handwriting recognition.
Windows Movie Maker, and Windows Photo Gallery, are not included in Windows 7; instead they are offered separately free of charge as part of the Windows Live Essentials suite.

- Improved task bar and full-screen previews : with Windows 7 one can order in which the icons appear.
- Jump Lists : Which provides quick access to common tasks. For ex right-clicking on the Word icon will show your most recent Word documents
- Windows Touch: If you’ve got a touch-screen monitor, you can just touch your computer screen for a more direct and natural way to work.
- Handwriting recognition: You can write math expressions, create personalized custom dictionaries for handwriting recognition, and use the new languages supported in Windows 7
- Windows Live : you can download Windows Live Messenger, Photo Gallery, Mail, Writer, Movie Maker, and more through Windows Live Essentials download (for FREE)
