Lakshmi Mittal’s Big India Investment

The world’s largest steelmaker, is seeking Indian government permission to build two separate plants in India(Orissa and Jharkhand ), in what could combine for an $18 billion foreign investment, Chief Executive Lakshmi Mittal said yesterday.
If both are approved, the two plants would mark the largest industrial investment by a foreign company.Mr. Mittal said his company has appointed consultants to come up with detailed project reports. “Today, we want infrastructure for 10 million tons each in both the states,” he said.
