Adsense category filtering lets you to filter ads up to 5 specific categories such as religion, politics, and dating from appearing on your website. Category filters allow you to block contextually and placement-targeted ads in certain ad categories from appearing on your site.
How to Access Adsense Ad Review Center
Categories you filter will no longer display ads (irrelevant Adsense ads) from those selected categories from appearing on your site.
To access Ad Review Center, follow these steps:
- Sign in to your AdSense account.
- Click AdSense Setup tab
- Click Ad Review Center link.
- Choose up to 5 categories to filter and click Submit to save your selection.
Ad Review Center – Category details
Here are the list of category details shown in Ad Review Center. You can choose up to 5 categories to filter adsense ads.
- Cosmetic Procedures & Body Modification – Includes lifts, suctions, lasers, hair removal and restoration, tattoos, and body modification.
- Dating – Includes dating services and online dating communities.
- Drugs & Supplements– Includes pharmaceuticals, vitamins, supplements, and related retailers; does not include resources providing information about drugs.
- Get Rich Quick – Schemes promising fast earning.
- Politics – Includes politics or controversial social issues; does not include ads for news organizations that are not generally associated with a partisan viewpoint on issues.
- Religion – Includes religious ads and ads advocating for or against religious views; does not include astrology or non-denominational spirituality.
- Ringtones & Downloadables – Mobile add-ons including ringtones, and other downloadable goodies such as screensavers and wallpapers for desktop PCs and profile layouts and graphics for social networks.
- Sexual & Reproductive Health – Includes sexual function and fertility ads; does not include normal pregnancy resources.
- Sexually Suggestive – Provocative pictures and text.
- Video Games (Casual & Online) – Includes video games, online games and downloadable games; does not include video game consoles.
- Weight Loss – Includes weight loss, dieting, and related products and programs; doesn’t include healthy eating or general fitness ads.

So, which adsense categories to filter in Ad Review Center. Based on % Recent Earnings and % Recent Ad Impressions shown in Ad Review Center, I filtered the following 4 categories( which had % Recent Earnings < 1%).
- Cosmetic Procedures & Body Modification
- Drugs & Supplements
- Sexual & Reproductive Health
- Weight Loss
Note: You should be very careful in filtering ads. Because this could have major revenue impact on you ad performance.
