Facebook Security Checkup is a tool that will guide you through options that anyone can easily access to secure their account. You’ll need to log into your Facebook account on a computer to start Security Checkup.
Security Checkup will help you to protect your account by reviewing important settings. It will help you secure your account in the following ways,
- Log Out of Unused Apps
- Get Login Alerts

1) Log Out of Unused Apps
This feature will show you all the devices and browsers that have been logged(Current Session ) in by this account. If you notice any unfamiliar devices or locations, you can log out end the session.
2) Get Login Alerts
If you turn on the notification, facebook will let you know if your account is logged into from a new device or browser.
For example: I logged in from IE ( which is not my usual browser). So I got an notification email, when I click the link, I got this activity page
Upon click ” This was me” .. I got the below message to “Remember This Browser”
Upon click ” This wasn’t me” .. I got the below message to “Secure Account” and got Password change screen.
3) Protect Your Password
You will get Password Tips and allows you to change the password if needed.
Password Tips
Only change your password if these tips could make it stronger:
Don’t use your Facebook password anywhere else online.
Never share your password. You should be the only one who knows it.
Avoid including your name or common words. Your password should be difficult to guess.
