How Can I Safely and securely Use My Credit Card Online?
Here are a few things you should do before typing your credit card details into a web site
Check the web page URL
Make sure that the web site you are using is safe and secure. A secure website’s URL will begin with https rather than “http”. ( https: // the s stands for ‘secure’) .
Secure Lock Icon
Look for lock icon. HTTPS protected website will display a lock icon in the address bar of the browser window ( such as a lock icon or a green bar, this will help you to know that your connection is secure).
The lock icon is not just a picture. When you click (or double-click) on the website’s icon next will reveal the site’s secure verification information.

If everything looks good, the website has provided you with a secure way of exchanging your sensitive information( credit card number, SSN etc) online.
Note: Instead of Debit card always use a credit card for online purchases. With a credit card, you can dispute the charges if you believe it is incorrect.
