How do I enable/disable Conversation View in Gmail?

Google gmail conversation view feature is clearly one of the very useful feature. In Conversation View, conversations of the same topic and it’s replies ( replies to emails and replies to those replies) are grouped in a single conversation thread.

Also in the view long email conversations will occupy one slot in the Inbox rather than filling the entire page. This view is also called as Gmail message threading.

Now you have the option of disabling the conversation view setting to individual messages view in your inbox view, to disable or enable Gmail Conversation View do the following

Disable Gmail Conversation View

  • Go to Gmail “Settings” on the top right of your gmail
  • About half-way down you will see Conversation View section
  • Select the radio button “Conversation view off” in the Conversation View section

Enable Gmail Conversation View
(sets emails of the same topic are grouped together)

  • Go to Gmail “Settings” on the top right of your gmail
  • About half-way down you will see Conversation View section
  • Select the radio button “Conversation view on” in the Conversation View section.
