Canadians are spending more time on the Internet than watching their television, according to a new survey from Ipsos Reid.
According to a survey of 839 adults conducted last year( 2009 ), Overall they spend more than 18 hours a week on the Internet compared with 16.9 hours watching television.
Internet usage is up from 14.9 hours and watching television is up from 15.8 last year.
For younger generations internet is important than the television, while for those aged 55 and older gave importance to watching TV, according to the survey.
