Tesla’s qualified plug-in Electric vehicle (PEV) federal tax credit of $7,500 ends on December 31, 2018. If you take delivery by the end of the year you are eligible to get the full tax credit. After that, tax credit will be reduced to $3,750 when you get delivery between January 1 to June 30, 2019 and $1,875 when you get delivery between July 1 to December 31, 2019.
Federal income tax credit is available to anyone who purchases a new Tesla Model S, Model X or Model 3:
