If you have an Apple ID, you will get 5 GB of online storage for free to backup apps, photos, email, and documents on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod.
To see which app is eating your free 5 GB space, by following the steps below
- Open the Settings app and tap iCloud on your iPhone
- Tap Storage & Backup, then Manage Storage
- You will see the list of apps being backed up or disabled.
If you take lots of photos and videos like me, Camera Roll will quickly eat up your iCloud space. All the photos and videos taken with your iOS device(iPhone, iPad, or iPod ) will be stored in iCloud. By disabling automatic backups for your Camera Roll app, you will save a significant amount of your cloud storage. To backup photos and videos, save your photos and videos to your computer with iTunes.
NOTE: If you’re disabling Camera Roll make sure to sync all of your photos and videos on your iPhone to a Mac or Windows PC with iTunes.
