RBI relaxed norms, Mutual Funds can invest $7 bn abroad

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on relaxed norms for the overall limit of investment in overseas by domestic mutual funds from $5 billion to $7 billion.

The move is to encourage flow of money outside the country, which will enable MFs to have greater opportunities for investment overseas.
