IBM opens Global Delivery Centre In Chennai, India

IBM opened a new global delivery center in Chennai, India to offer server consolidation, middleware services and site and facilities services for IBM’s global clients. 

Chennai facility will employ 100 persons. IBM Chennai will  hire new technology graduates and IT professionals with skills in remote infrastructure services, IT strategy and architecture, business consulting, enterprise solutions (SAP, Siebel and Oracle), testing, business intelligence and data warehousing. 

 IBM will be expanded to include IT strategy and architecture, network services, business continuity and resiliency, security and privacy, storage and data services. The infrastructure services will largely be offered from the new Chennai facility.

The new centre was an integral part of IBM’s global delivery network, spread across three dozen countries around the world.

IBM opened a new global delivery center in Shanghai, China on 23 Mar 2006, to address the growing global demand for the delivery of application services. Shanghai center is offering IT services in English, Japanese, Mandarin, and German, to clients from Japan, Europe and North America.
