When you install wordpress blog, you will be asked to check “Allow my blog to appear in search engines like Google and Technorati.” at the Wordpress Installation page. But if have unchecked it, Don’t worry, you can always change these settings later at the admin page. Here is how you cam make a blog visible to search engines like Google, Bing, Technorati, etc.,

Do you want to add copyright notice to your wordpress footer like “Copyright © 2009 Websitename” .. Here is how.
Login into your wordpress and edit the footer.php and add the following line of code

Copyright &copy; 2010 &middot; All Rights Reserved &middot;  <?php bloginfo(‘name’); ?>

That’s it, your wordpress footer will have copyright notice as show below

If you want to keep WordPress blog secure, you have to upgrade to the latest release. Always check for the security release by wordpress team and upgrade to the latest version. Before upgrading check for your current version of wordpress to make sure which one you upgraded.

If you have most recent version of wordpress (wordpress 2.6 or latest) you can automatically update WordPress using the ink found within your menu bar.

You don’t need a wordpress plugin to add photos/picture as attachment. All you have to do is  just click the icon “Add an image“, which you can see near to your title box while writing new or editing an old post.

After image has been uploaded, you can add titles, caption and descriptions.
