Indian customers can now book their 3G iPhone as Vodafone and Airtel threw open online bookings for the most awaited product on Indian markets. Both companies have introduced pre-registration for the iPhone 3G on their Web sites.
The TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India ) ordered Vodafone Essar Mobile Services Limited , to refund all money to all the customers that it has charged for providing value added services to its subscribers without their approval, within 15 days.
TRAI had received complaints from the subscribers that they have been provided with value added services without their consent.
Mobile Industry leaders have said that the Emerging markets will lead growth and innovation in the mobile world at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona — the world’s biggest telecommunications conference.
Vodafone seeing good results in India, which is adding 1.5 million customers a month. In developing world, the demand for internet and entertainment is growing very rapidly. There are clearly things we can learn from emerging markets in developed economies, said Vodafone chief executive Arun Sarin.
