Myspace Launches Online Music Service

Social network MySpace has launched “MySpace Music” in partnership with Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, and Warner Music Group – to transform its current music offerings into a full-fledged jukebox of streaming and downloadable music.

“We plan to really change the game entirely,” said Amit Kapur Chief Operating Officer of MySpace.

Sony Targets April 8 Release for Blu-ray BD-Live Titles


Sony is targeting April 8 as the date it will debut its first Blu-ray movies that will be able to connect to the Internet and download more bonus materials and features.

Profile 2.0, also known as BD Live enables certain online interactive features included on some Blu-ray Discs..

Wal-Mart to sell only Blu-Ray DVDs, not HD DVDs

Wal-Mart Stores Inc decided to exclusively sell high-definition DVDs in the Blu-Ray format,which could be a heavy blow to the rival HD DVD technology backed by Toshiba Corp.

In a statement on its Web site, Wal-Mart said that over the next few months it will phase out sales of HD DVD systems and discs. By June, it will sell only products in the Blu-ray format which was developed by Sony Corp.
