Google has discontinued its “Send to Phone” free SMS sending service. For US cellular phones, Google’s send-to-phone format is the most basic and easiest to use.
The page is used in Google Toolbar for IE and Google Send to Phone for Firefox to send short text messages of web page content.
“We’re sorry, but Send to SMS has been retired. You can continue to share web pages via email or blog using Send to Gmail or Send to Blogger” is the message we are getting when you try to use at http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/sendtophone/
