Dear Dr. Pachauri, At the onset I would like to extend to you my congratulation on your being the recipient of Nobel Prize for all that you have done towards tackling the global warming & environmental issues. These problems which, if left unattended will have very catastrophic effect on our Home Planet Earth and make it inhabitable for life a few centuries later. Hence in this letter I explain the purpose of writing this letter to you. Before going further I would like to introduce myself better. First I am a human being having genuine concern for the coming generations and the difficulties that they will be facing if we do not act now to reverse the situation which we all know is still reversible. I am a 64 years old Mechanical Engineer, running a small scale industry and am also at present holding the position of Environmental committee Chairman for our Rotary Club of Bokaro Steel City (Jharkhand) and will be holding the position for the next decade. In this position I will be responsible for spreading the message to the general population spreading the message to the general population especially the younger generation about the dangers posed by global warming and how to prevent it in a effective and a very fast manner. The possible number of persons who can be exposed to the idea here i.e. in Bokar Steel City and also be convinced are about 3.5 lakh. They are youngsters and are mainly students of the Primary Secondary and initial college level. I also expect atleast 25% of such youngster to follow suit and become resources person for further carrying on the message and convince more persons. The reason for my writing this letter is to seek your help . We need your personal help in gathering/mobilizing audio-visual presentation material which will be used for convincing the audience and make booklets and literature to bring about awareness. This has to be done in the next 12 months or even earlier. May I request you to kindly respond with assistance in the form of CD, Poster, Books Articles , Photograph, slides which we could use in our presentation and exposition s in schools, colleges and other places nearby i.e. Dhanbad (Jharkhand) and other cities of Jharkhand.
