Recently I forgot my hotmail password, I did not specify secondary email Address for hotmail to send the hotmail password reset email.
Here is how to recover lost Windows Live Hotmail Password. To recover lost hotmail password, Go to Windows Live Hotmail password reset page and provide the email address and CAPTCHA word. Then, to reset your password you will be provided 2 links to choose
- Send yourself a password reset e-mail message.(will be sent to your alternate e-mail address)
- Provide account information and answer your secret question(which you entered while creating your account).
After you reset your password, To help you reset your password in the future, add an alternate e-mail address and question and secret answer that you can remember.
Recovering Hotmail Password without secret answer and alternate e-mail address
If you don’t know the answer your secret question or no secret question provided upon registration; no alternate email-id provided upon registration than complete the Windows Live ID Validation form(provide as many details as possible about your issue).

hey, this info is pretty old, hotmail does not provide the second option anymore, does anyone know how to reset ur password by providing a secret answer?

The captcha box does not accept my entry. It keeps saying it’s wrong and to enter the new letters. I have tried a dozen times. I tried the audio, but it is of such poor quality with so much background noise it’s impossible to use.
