Hitwise released a press report showing that Google stays at 72 % of U.S. Searches in February 2009
Google accounted for 72.11 % of all U.S. searches while Yahoo! Search, MSN Search and Ask.com received 17.04 %, 5.56 % and 3.74 % respectively.
According to Forbes Google Handles 235 Million Searches Per Day. Here is the total Percentage of U.S. searches among leading search engine providers, as provided by Hitwise:

The remaining 46 search engines in the Hitwise Search Engine Analysis Tool accounted for 1.56 % of U.S. searches. Data is based on four-week rolling periods from the Hitwise sample of 10 million U.S. Internet users.
