Today I spotted an error message in Google Search,
Server Error
The server encountered an error and could not complete your request.If the problem persists, please mail error@google.com and mention this error message and the query that caused it.
Looks like Google Search service was temporarily overloaded, but system was back momentarily. This was different from the Gmail error message last time.
