FTP is the communication method to transfer files from one computer to another. You need FTP clinet access access your files on the remote computer or the account given by your provider to host your homepage.
Most people dosen’t know that they can use Windows Explorer as a FTP client. This feature only works if you have Windows XP or later; older versions of Windows do not support this. Learn how to use Window Explorer as a FTP client to transfer files.
- Right-click the Start Button
- Click Explore on this to bring up Windows Explorer window.
- Type FTP Host/ IP/ URL in (ex ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com) the address bar.
- Enter Username and Password upon prompt.

“Save password” option will automatically log you into the account (without prompting) the next time you connect to our server if you checked. So use this option carefully, to prevent unauthorized access by users who uses your computer)
Log out Window Explorer FTP client by closing the Explorer window ,to prevent unauthorized access to your remote server by other users who uses your computer.
