• Don’t trust hackers who have found ways to use software not authorized by apple

Apple will patch a software update for the iPhone to fix the security flaw that gives unauthorized access to contacts and e-mails.

“The minor iPhone security issue, which surfaced this week, is fixed in a software update which will be released in September,” said Apple spokeswoman Jennifer Bowcock in an e-mail Thursday.

Survey conducted by Wired Magazine revealed that 3G Apple iPhone users who are experiencing poor reception is due to the the fault of the carriers that provide service, rather than the fault of 3G iPhone devices. 3G iPhone users from US have been complaining about the speed.

Vodafone and Airtel will be launching the iPhone on August 22 in India. iPhone 3G to cost Rs 31,000 for the entry-level 8GB memory and Rs 36,100 for a model with double the memory in India.

Vodafone opened bookings for the phones in July, have already received booking requests of over 10,000 phones.
