India needs huge investments from abroad to develop and be a part of the global economy, but these need to be regulated. In order to grow we need vast amounts of capital. In the long run, I believe, India gains in globalisation, says Finance Minister P. Chidambaram

While inaugurating the three-day conference of the ‘Fortune Global Forum’ in New Delhi , Indian PM Dr Manmohan Singh said said that”The elephant (India) which has long been commented upon as being slow and sleepy, is not just wide awake but moving forward rapidly. So rapidly that it has become imperative for the global community to notice and acknowledge its emergence on the global stage as an economy that counts.”
