IIT Kharagpur plans 4 new centres


As part of Rs 400-crore investment that IIT-KGP (Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur) recently announced for expansion of its infrastructure, IIT-KGP is investing around Rs 46 crore in four new centres of excellence namely—

  • School of Entrepreneurship.
  • School of Infrastructure Design and Management.
  • Steel Technology Centre.
  • Centre of Excellence in Telecommunication Engineering.

New centers of excellence are expected to be functional by the 2009 academic session.
