Like Vonage or Comcast in USA , Indian MTNL has launched VoIP service( internet telephony ) called Netfone, utilising its Broadband network which will provide ISD call rate of as low as Re 1.00 per minute to US, UK, Canada, Australia and many other countries.

 So , customer will be able to make international calls just like making calls from a normal telephone without the need of a PC.
 The call charges from VoIP to PSTN/mobile phone to US, UK, Canada, Australia and many other countries shall be Re 1 per minute, and for Japan, Malaysia and other countries Rs 2 per minute. The service shall be available to about 150 countries.

 Subscriber needed to do for taking advantage of the service is that one has to
 - Subscribe to MTNL’s broadband connection (monthly rental starting at Rs. 199 )
 - Install an Analog Telephone Adaptor (ADA) from telecompany @ payment of Rs. 1500.
 - pay non refundable one time registration and installation charges of Rs 500

Pepaid cards cab be purchased in the denomination of:
Rs 100
Rs 500
Rs 1,000
