India hikes price of petrol by Rs 5; diesel by Rs 3; LPG by Rs 50

Indian government on Wednesday announced a hike in fuel prices to combat spurt in global oil prices.
According to the announcement

  • Petrol prices were increased by 5 rupees
  • Diesel prices were increased by 3 rupees and
  • LPG prices were increased by 50 rupees

– the highest ever price raise

What is US Visa Waiver Program (VWP) ?

The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) is a program of the United States of America which allows citizens of specific countries to travel to the US for tourism or business for up to 90 days without having to obtain a visa. All countries participating in the program have high Human Development Index (HDI) and most are regarded as developed countries.

Online travel registration required for US visitors

Countries whose citizens are not required to obtain visas for U.S. entry — will be required to register biographical details online at least three days before their visit, according to Homeland Security Secretary.

Currently 28 countries are in the U.S. visa waiver program.
